Hi there 👋! I’m Chan, a data engineer and software engineer based in Claremont, CA.

"Data never lies."This is the quote I have believed in since I started my career as a data engineer. Through meticulous data modeling, data can provide answers to the questions that business stakeholders are interested in.

I began my career as a machine learning engineer after majoring in Computer Science at Harvey Mudd College. While working at a small company, I was responsible for creating a classification model for plants. However, during the model development process, I realized that I couldn't improve the accuracy due to corrupted data. It became evident that for machine learning, the quality of the dataset is significantly more important.

Since then, I have pursued my career in data engineering. At PUBG Krafton, my focus was on developing data pipelines and data visualization. During my time at Krust Universe, I independently created a data pipeline and took responsibility for collaborating with other teams during data modeling. At Kaldea, I am expanding my knowledge of the DevOps/SWE side to create data products.

Recently, I have been learning Rust. Due to its performance and memory efficiency compared to Python, Rust is compelling for building applications. I am currently working on an open-source project to export blockchain data from nodes to Google BigQuery.
